EFT & Energy EFT

EFT is a powerful and remarkably simple to learn self-healing modality. It stands for emotional freedom techniques. It’s a combination of using acupressure points, originating from eastern energy medicine, with focusing on an area you would like change in. By tapping on certain energy meridian points and speaking about the issue you are seeking change in, you can release blocks which have kept the problem stuck in your energy field. People are often amazed at how different they feel even after one tapping round. EFT has been reported successful in thousands of cases covering a huge range of emotional, health and performance issues. It often works where nothing else does.

I practise Modern Energy EFT which is an evolution of Gary Craig’s original Classical EFT and was created by Silvia Hartmann.

Differences Between Classical & Modern Energy EFT

I mostly practise modern Energy EFT now but used to use classical EFT, also very effective and still preferred by some of my clients. Many of my earlier YouTube videos are demonstrating a more classical style, as is my EFT weightloss programme.

The changes that occurred in the newer style were slightly different tapping points, done more slowly with a mindful breath after each point, and also Silvia Hartmann (founder of modern energy EFT) introduced the SUE scale, replacing the SUDS. SUE stands for Subjective Units of Experience and SUDS is Subjective Units of Distress. In the SUE scale we get to evolve beyond the zero point of having an absence of pain and experience the plus side.

In the SUE scale we get to evolve beyond the zero point of having an absence of pain and experience the plus side. We consider what is the very opposite of what was ‘the problem’ rather than simply no longer experiencing the problem.

The set-up point is at the heart centre rather than the side of the hand, and connects directly with the problem or quality you are addressing.

To Set Up

Place the hands on the centre of the chest (HC) and take three comfortable breaths stating the problem or the focus you are working on.

The Tapping Points

Next is the top of the head (TH) – the crown point, where you can use a few or all of the fingers to tap, then the third eye point in the centre of the forehead (TE) using one or two fingers; the eyebrow point is the inner end of the eyebrow (EB); side of the eye is on the bony part just level with your pupil at the side of your eye (SE); under the eye is on the bone again directly underneath the eye (UE); under the nose is the point in the centre of under your nose and your top lip; underneath the mouth I refer to as CH as it is the inner crease part of the chin under the bottom lip; CB is collar bones where you can use all the fingers again to tap; top of the thumb is usually just with two fingers tapping (Th); top of the index finger (If); top of the middle finger (Mf); top of the ring finger (Rf); top pf the baby finger (Bf); then the side of the hand or Karate Chop Point where I use up to three fingers (KC) and back to having the hands on the centre of the chest (HC) taking three comfortable breaths when you are finishing, but mostly you will continue for more rounds in which case you can go straight to the top of the head.
